Appointment Terms & Conditions

As a small business, appointment consistency, accuracy and timeliness is very important to our clients, our barbers and our brand. We understand that sometimes unexpected events and delays come up in life leaving you no choice but to make a scheduling adjustment. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment we ask you do so at least 24 hours in advance. 
CANCELLATION FEES:
Any cancellation made less than 24 hours before your appointment will result in a cancellation fee. This fee will equal 100% of the cost of the booked service/s and will be charged directly to the client through our booking system after the missed appointment. This fee is in place to cover the cost of the staff member we reserved especially for your service. To cancel an appointment before the 24 hour notice period simply head to your booking link and click 'cancel your appointment'.
RESCHEDULING FEES: 
If a client contacts their chosen store to reschedule their appointment less than 12 hours before an appointment, their reschedule will incur a rescheduling fee. This fee will equal 100% of the cost of the booked service/s and will be charged directly to the client through our booking system after the late rescheduling. If you need to reschedule your appointment you MUST call the store of your appointment to discuss rescheduling with the team directly. This is to prevent any rescheduling emails being missed by our admin team (we are a small business, with only a small office team) - email is not a valid form of communication when it comes rescheduling and without calling our team you can still be charged a rescheduling fee. 
LATE FEES:
If you are more than 7 minutes late for your service, we may no longer be able to accommodate you for your appointment. If this is the case, our same cancellation fee will apply. We will do our best to reschedule any late appointments to another time that suits both us and the client.
NO SHOW FEES:
If you do not show for your scheduled appointment without giving our staff prior notice in accordance to our cancellation policy, you will be charged our cancellation fee.
CARD DETAILS:
To uphold our cancellation policy, we ask that you provide us with debit/credit card details at the time of booking in order for us to approve and hold your appointment. These card details WILL NOT be used or charged UNLESS you have breached our appointment terms and conditions. You will be automatically charged if you breach appointment terms and conditions using this card on file. As long as you abide by our terms and conditions, no charges will be made to your on file card. All card details are stored securely, privately and safely through our Square Appointment software.
FEE COLLECTION ATTEMPTS: 
On the day of any cancelled, rescheduled, late, or no show appointments that void our appointment terms and conditions The Electric Chair Barbershop will charge our cancellation fee to your supplied method of payment. If our first attempt to collect our fee is unsuccessful due to whatever reason (including insufficient funds on supplied method of payment), The Electric Chair Barbershop reserves the right to re-attempt to charge our cancellation fee at our digression until we are able to obtain the agreed payment. If an extended period of time passes and we are still unable to automatically charge our fee, The Electric Chair Barbershop will involve third party debt collection agencies to collect the agreed fee on our behalf at the expense of the customer. 
SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS:
The Electric Chair Barbershop understands that rarely there are special exceptions as to why clients are unable to abide by our cancellation policy. The Electric Chair will review our appointment terms and conditions breaches on a case by case basis and if appropriate can wave fees for special cases. To contest a charged fee, simply contact us on info@theelectricchairbarbershop.com.au or contact the store where your appointment was booked. Please note, you can only email us to contest a fee once you have missed your appointment. If you are cancelling or rescheduling your appointment last minute and want to discuss the reasons with us BEFORE missing your appointment and being charged a fee please ring the store of your appointment directly. 
STAFF CHANGES:
If you have made an appointment with a specific The Electric Chair Barbershop staff member, occasionally, due to a range of reasons including staff leave, sickness or team changes, your chosen staff member may not be available to service you for your appointment. If this is the case, The Electric Chair Barbershop will contact you as soon as they are made aware of the staff change and will either offer you an alternative appointment with a different staff member (if possible) or will work with you to reschedule your appointment to the next available appointment that suits both you and your chosen staff member. If, due to an unforeseen change in staff availability, you wish to cancel your appointment you WILL NOT breach the cancellation policy and will not be charged a cancellation fee.
