Frequently Asked Questions

You are welcome to contact us at any time with questions by emailing info@theelectricchairbarbershop.com.au
or you can ring any of our locations during their operating hours to speak with a barber directly.
However, if you want a response now, we have tried to answer some of our most frequently asked questions here...

Yes - The Electric Chair Barbershop has now moved to appointment based services at all our Brisbane locations. To book an appointment at any of our locations please head here.

While we still allow 'walk-in' appointments, their availability is dependant on what appointments are already booked for the day and we can not guarantee a same day appointment if you simply walk-in to one of our locations. Waiting times vary depending on location, time of day and day of visit. To secure an appointment at your preferred time and with your preferred barber it is best to book online ahead of time.

You can check the opening times of all our locations here.

We offer a full range of services expected of a premier barbershop. Our services include, but are not limited to, haircuts, head shaves, foil fades, tapers, undercuts, line ups, beard trims, face shaves and beard lines services. For more information around our services take a look at our price list!

All our services come with a complimentary drink, complimentary hot towel, and complimentary style.

We also offer student pricing!

Yes. The Electric Chair Barbershop is against discrimination, so we do cut female hair if it is short and the requested style is achievable by our staff. Our staff are qualified barbers and apprentices, which is a different skill set to a qualified hairdresser. They are taught skills in dealing with short hair.

Our staff are unable to style or colour long hair (both male and female). We will only turn away a customer if we believe we can not cut their hair at an acceptable industry standard.

Yes! We accept both cash and eftpos payments. Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express cards.

We advertise on our Instagram & Facebook accounts (and on this website) when we are actively looking for new barbers to join our team. However, we love someone who can show initiative.

If you want to become a TEC Barber, but we aren't currently advertising, you can send your resume to info@theelectricchairbarbershop.com.au (please include a cover letter as well). We receive a high number of applicants and unfortunately, can't reply to everyone. If you're an appropriate fit we will give you a call or keep your resume on file for future openings.
